Floating in a New Town Sky
In advance of the Architecture Foundations 'New New Town' Symposium - which is on the 20th-21st Feb - I thought i'd post the famous Milton Keynes 'Red Balloon' advert. Amazingly, in a world where it feels like every piece of media ever made should be instantly accessible, its only just been uploaded to YouTube. Amongst others, you'll hear from Crimsons Michelle Provoost, who as part of Wimby was the client for FATs Hoogvliet Heerlijkheid project which is nearing completion. It reminds me, I still need to type up my notes from a previous AF gig with Geoff from the AOC in conversation with Milton Keynes lynchpin Derek Walker. On an unrelated note: Why should red balloons be such chameleon cultural cyphers?
